About this Chic Retreat
Since its opening in 2008, Borgo Santo Pietro has become the most sought-after boutique hotel in Tuscany and is certainly one of our favourites. This beautifully restored boutique hotel is set in the Tuscan village of Palazzetto, just over one hour from Florence. The pretty cypress lined path leads guests up to this luxury country house hotel which has sympathetically designed interiors with a mixture of old and new offering a relaxed and intimate environment.

If you visit one boutique hotel in Tuscany make sure it is Borgo Santo Pietro. We totally fell in love with this place and were very reluctant to leave. Future plans include a stunning new spa (guests can already enjoy utterly indulgent and spoiling treatments in the holistic hub), and a natural fresh water lake for swimming. Borgo Santo Pietro have again joined the prestigous Tatler Travel Award list for one of the best 101 hotels in 2010.
Accommodation
Borgo Santo Pietro has 2 rooms and 8 suites, all of which have been lavishly and intricately designed & decorated using the warm, rich colours of the Tuscan landscape. The comfortable & luxurious rooms are simply dripping with style, with original furniture, sumptuous fabrics, chandeliers, exposed beams and old stone-carved fireplaces. In addition to all of this, bespoke beds set the feel of each room with the addition of the best technology available including pre-loaded ipods, WiFi, cordless phones and LCD TVs and all rooms are air-conditioned. There are now 3 new Garden Suites, each with a cottage feel with antique stone flooring and a design inspired by Borgo's lush gardens. These new suites have their own private terrace sand vast private gardens and are ideal for families looking for a little more space. Maggiorana is our favourite garden suite and is big enough for 2 adults and 2 children. Guests staying in a garden suite can enjoy a delicious breakfast outside on your private table under the pergola.
Activities
The Borgo Santo Pietro estate has a heated infinity pool which overlooks the valley and is close to the tennis court and Bocce pitch. Guests can also relax in the garden hot tub and enjoy spa treatments in the privacy of the holistic hub or in a private spot in the garden surrounded by herbs and roses. There is an endless list of activities on offer including horse riding, archery, hiking (boots provided), cycling (bikes provided), table tennis and cooking courses. Children will be kept busy with a large trampoline and a fantastic playground with swings, slides and childrens activities.
Dining
Borgo Santo Pietro serves one of the best breakfasts we have come across. It is a sumptuous affair with a decadent display of food and wonderful variety of different cooked breakfasts. The food served here is just the sort of food that guests come to Italy for - fresh, simple and full of flavour with the herbs and vegetables coming direct from the estate's organic gardens. There is an interesting wine list with a notable selection of Italian and international wines. For those craving an authentic thin crust Italian pizza, the village is just a 5 minute walk from the hotel.
Rates
Rates are per room per night and include continental breakfast. Villa rentals include staff services and exclude food & drinks. A 3rd bed is charged at EUR 90 per day and is available in the Junior Suites and Suites only. Travel baby cots are free.

90 days prior to arrival - full refund. 90 to 30 days prior to arrival - deposit forfeited. 30 or less days prior to arrival - the remaining balance will be charged.
